This is the basic setup of the shelf. Four cubicles are covered, so the technical equipment can be hidden behind the covers. The left view shows the interior of the shelf, while the view on the right shows the actual visible parts. In all cubicles are usually objects, which are not displayed here.
The chart below shows the dataflow. Since the RFID antenna comes with a RS232 plug, and the used computer does not offer such a port, I had to use an USB-adapter. In order to communicate with the Flash application the data from the COM port had to be converted to TCP in the beginning.
